Netflix Fans Can’t Get Enough Of This ‘Badass’ Series That Had Them Binge-Watching All Night

Netflix viewers are raving about a gripping sci-fi series that has an impressive seven-season run.

If you’ve had your fill of romantic comedies, especially after a Valentine’s Day binge, and you’re in the mood for something action-packed, then this post-apocalyptic drama might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Loosely adapted from Kass Morgan’s young adult book series, the show was brought to life by Jason Rothenberg and first aired on The CW on March 19.

With seven seasons and an aptly numbered 100 episodes, the story takes place ninety-seven years after a nuclear catastrophe wipes out most of humanity, forcing survivors to live on a massive space station known as the Ark.

But when the Ark’s life support systems begin to fail, a group of young prisoners is sent back to Earth to determine whether the planet is still habitable.

The show, titled The 100, stars Eliza Taylor (Quantum Leap), Thomas McDonell (Prom), Bob Morley (Love Me), Marie Avgeropoulos (Tracers), and Devon Bostick (Diary of a Wimpy Kid).

Even though the series originally aired in 2013 and concluded in 2020, it became available on Netflix, sparking a resurgence in popularity among new and returning viewers.

With a 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 67 percent audience score, The 100 has continued to generate buzz, with fans taking to social media to share their enthusiasm.

One social media user asked in a Facebook group: “What series on Netflix was so good it made you watch until the very next morning.”

One fan quickly responded: “The 100. Its pretty badass.”

Another agreed: “I agree! I watched it twice,”

Meanwhile, a Twitter user chimed in: “To everyone tryna do a GoT rewatch, I have a better alternative: The 100 is back in 3 weeks and it’s all on Netflix. If for no other reason (and there are many, often so ridiculous, reasons), it’s worth watching for the reveal in the last 5 minutes of the last episode.”

Another fan reflected on the show’s impact, saying: “Enjoyed this TV series when it released. Good or bad, but the ideas were just insane. What happens 100s of years after earth was destroyed. It’s a world it takes us into,”

And yet another commented: “THE 100. This series quickly proved it would rarely play things safe, delivering a ton of gasp-worthy, incredibly dark, exciting, and dramatic moments centered on a group of strong characters frequently presented with harrowing choices and no morally clean options. #The100.”
